Agua Dulce Winery is located about 45 minutes from downtown Los Angeles, and its website describes its wines as having "won multiple medals in several national wine competitions."
Adam Brawer of Compass says, "This wine is quite delicious." This is the best rosé I've ever had, and I've had rosé in the south of France many times.
Brawer, along with Aaron Kirman and Matt Adamo of AKG Christie's International Real Estate, listed the winery in Agua Dulce, California.
The winery includes five buildings and Chardonnay, Cabernet Sauvignon, Syrah and Port vines.
Brawer says, "In addition to the wine, the property is very charming." The vineyards and beautiful homes have direct access to the vineyards.
The main house is approximately 5,000 square feet with five bedrooms, five bathrooms and an open living space. The house was built in 1987 but has been recently updated.
It has been used as a holiday home and rents for around $1,000 per night.
Because of its proximity to La-La Land, the home has also served as a filming location for movies and TV shows, including a season of the show Promised Land, which aired on ABC and told the story of a winemaking family.
The cellar building is 10,500 square feet and another commercial building is 10,000 square feet and features a tasting room, gift shop and bottling plant.
The new red barn is approximately 1,000 square feet and also includes a small caretaker's house.
"The barn was just built this year," Brawer said. The sellers "invested seven figures in renovations, mainly to the warehouse and cellar."
The winery's business is also being sold along with it, including the 4,000 members of a wine subscription club, equipment and personnel.
"It's the closest winery to L.A. and within L.A. County," Brauer says.
A lot of people go to Solvang, Paso Robles and Napa. They can make day trips here.
It's a turnkey operation, Brawer said, and the owner decided to sell the property in order to focus on another winery he owns.
Agua Dulce offers a rare opportunity to own a legendary winery where you can continue the tradition or start your journey, Coleman said.
Brawer said they already know who is likely to buy the place.
"The next Francis Ford Coppola," he joked, referring to the legendary director who also owns a winery.
"The next Francis Ford Coppola," he said, referring to the legendary director who also owns a winery." Basically, an entertainer or celebrity who loves entertainment and is also a wine lover who loves fine wine. There happens to be an airport right next door, so it's perfect for those jet-setters.
